Introduction

History
Founded in 1984, the department is the forst one in the Management school of National Central University. It now offers undergraduate, MBA, PhD and on-the-job MBA programs, and provides a throughout proffessional education in important areas of management.

Business Administration
The contents of Business Administration consists of Infornation Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Production and Operation Management, and Human Resource Management.The fields are extensive; as a result, students have much flexibility for learning and development. Due to large demand for management talents,students graduating from the department are popular in all businesses.

The teaching focuses on the foundation of business administration, both in professional theories and practically which includes seminar and business visiting.

Building mechanism for college students in choosing specialty among the five fields of management help train students’ professional skills.

The department has hot graduate programs of business administration in the country, due to superior faculty and earnest education.

It is the first department of business administration to initiate a special program for the seeing or hearing impaired students, creating opportunities for them to learn with future participation in management.

The department provides distinguishing ERP education for students with interest, matching the development and resource of the ERP Center (founded in 1998).

It is the only department of business administration in the country providing both ERP education and research opportunities.

Enhancing The Basic Training of Business Administration:
The courses must integrate management knowledge with the culture of our country and balance between theory and practicality.

Nurturing Business Management Knowledge:
The fields of financial management, marketing management, human resource management, production and operation management, business strategy, and so on are professional and plentiful.

Ability for Communication:
Students can improve their communication ability and foreign language by discussing in class.
Focusing on Creativity And Analysis:
The courses can develop students’ creative thinking and emphasize the training of logical thinking as well as integrating ability.

Building Up Entrepreneurship:
The department often invites experts to give speeches and encourages students to attend seminars in school, influencing students imperceptibly.

Graduates of the department are popular in all businesses.If students are interested in specific fields such as accounting,human resource, information management and so on, they can either
apply for the graduate school or take professional certification exams.

Advanced Euducation
The department held classes for advanced studies for the vocational school’s teachers in the summer of 1996 and 1997 and has begun on-the-job MBA program for meeting the needs of management talents since 2000.

Students’ Activities

Student council plans excellent and colorful activities such as NCUBA Camp for senior high school students to learn and arouse interests on management, Business Administration Cup Sport Games for interacting and communicating with students of other universities, celebrity speeches, business visiting, creative NCUBA week, and so on. The department has a BBS site (140.115.75.115) announcing the latest news and also arranges classes of computer software and hardware for students, all expressing students’ vigorousness and talents.
